I have a website, it looks fine and people seem to like it. Isn’t that enough?
A website, like any technology, is just a tool. To make something happen, a tool needs to be put to intelligent use. And once it is put to a use, then its effectiveness needs to be evaluated. Your website promotes and represents your business and must communicate what Internet searchers are looking for, as well as serve their needs. It needs to be alive and it requires ongoing marketing to really make it work. |
Does my website work?
A website is often judged on its appearance and emotional appeal, like an object. While it is true that a site should be attractive and pleasing to the eye, the real criterion can, and should, be measured in concrete terms. There are two key criteria: 1) How much is it helping to expand and build your business and 2) How effectively does it serve the needs of your clients to gather information, communicate, to complete a task or to buy a product. |
